Hello folks,

I'm on the look out for WW1 medals belonging to the following:

1892 - 1940 Sgt Ernest William Cope 3756, 266166: 3/7th & 1/7th Sherwood Foresters (Nottingham & Derbyshire Regiment) Robin Hoods.

Kind regards, Lee Cope.

Start with family members, if you've no luck there, you can trawl the internet, search by surname as initials were used instead of forenames, TBH if they're not in the family you'll be lucky to get them.

Most common option people go for when there is no sign of them is replicas.

Are you able to post the images of the Medal cards on your other thread?

Try the British Medals Forum. You can register "wants" there, and see if any members have split parts of the groups in their collections which they are seeking to reunite. As rough diamond says, you would be fortunate to find them, but it does happen.

Hello folks,

I'm on the look out for WW1 medals belonging to the following:

1887 - 1941 Ernest William Cope 36357, 17328, 5804: Sherwood Foresters (Nottingham & Derbyshire Regiment) TF 2/5th Battalion.

Read jay dubaya's post #5 on your thread about Ernest, he doesn't have any medals.
