The opening "attack" is obviously a training exercise, since it's filmed from a tower or some such vantage point, and some of the destroyed British tanks are from Cambrai in 1917. The men pulling the accompanying artillery piece are wearing spotless, brand-new uniforms. But the footage of marching troops and prisoners are obviously authentic.
