yellow Posted 31 August , 2013 Share Posted 31 August , 2013 I am looking for anyone on the forum who owns these two rare books, who would be kind enough to open them at the relevant pages. 1. With the 1st/1st South Midland Mounted Brigade Field Ambulance in Egypt, Palestine, Gallipoli, Salonica. 1914-18. 2. The Birmingham Territorial Units of the Royal Army Medical Corps (1914 -1919). I am trying to establish which Yeomanry Cavalry the 1/1st South Midland Mounted Filed Ambulance was working with to remove casualties during the Second Battle of the Jordan Valley or Second Battle of Es Salt from 2nd May to the 4th May 1918. The War Diary for this unit, for this time period, appears not to of been catalogued by the National Archives or is missing. The 5th Mounted Division Diary held in Australia provides no clues because there were several Yeomanry Cavalry units operating at this time in the Jordan Valley. I am hoping that these books will contain the answer to this question. Thank you for your time. Steve.
