While hunting for graves in Aberdeen I chanced upon the following memorial in the cemetery. I know absolutely nothing about the company but thought pals may be interested to see the memorial

It is the South African Vererans Memorial - Aberdeen Branch.

Scots men from C&E Morton were responsible for the founding of Millwall Football Club in the 1880's.

I have no idea why it is there. It does not look like it was relocated to the cemetery.

Who or what were C&E Morton and why would scotsmen from the company found Millwall F.C.

C&E Morton were manufacturers of "preserved provision", and I believe ther Isle of Dogs site was a Jam Factory!

The jocks will have created a football team because that's what they were doing all over the world back in the 1880's!
