Guest lkharter Posted 21 August , 2013 Posted 21 August , 2013 Would like any info at all on:Private J. Wilson A.S.C. M289030(I think it means he was in the Army Service Corps, and his service No. Does anyone know what the "M" stands for?)This is ALL I know, and that he received a Victory Medal in 1917.Thanks very much.lkharter@aol.com USA
Gunner Bailey Posted 21 August , 2013 Posted 21 August , 2013 Private James Wilson. Army Service Corps. received the Victory Medal and the British War Medal. No other information on the medal card (visible on Ancestry.com). The medal would have been issued around 1922, not in 1917. John
Admin spof Posted 21 August , 2013 Admin Posted 21 August , 2013 The "M" is the pre-fix for men in the Motor TRansport sections.
