Norfolk Fox Posted 17 August , 2013 Share Posted 17 August , 2013 Edward Chadwick was born on 18 March 1895 in Cheetham,Manchester. According to 1911 Census he was living at 22 Withington Street, Cheetham Hill, Manchester and his occupation was listed as Photo Engraver. He worked for the Manchester Chronicle & Daily Sketch as a Photographer. He married May Worthington in 1924. I have had difficulty in tracking his WW1 record. He had 3 brothers who served in WW1, two were KIA. I have attached a photo which some have indicated might be Royal Engineers? Can anyone help me with this mystery? Terry_Reeves Posted 17 August , 2013 Share Posted 17 August , 2013 He is a Royal Engineer. I have had quick look at Ancestry but I can't see a service record for him, but that is not unusual. TR

Norfolk Fox Posted 17 August , 2013 Author Share Posted 17 August , 2013 Graeme Thank you for the post - unfortunately the family tree is mine and the Military history is incorrect. Norfolk Fox
Norfolk Fox Posted 17 August , 2013 Author Share Posted 17 August , 2013 Terry Is there a good source to check out Royal Engineers? Would the badge indicate a Division? As Edward was a photographer - would this give any clues?
