Andy Wade Posted 7 October , 2013 Share Posted 7 October , 2013 Ha! No I don't! It's just that if I needed to show a picture of a newspaper article, it could be patched together. Most of the time I just open two pages up and stick them side by side on the screen like in the earlier example, then read across from one to the other if I'm transcribing the text. Some of the information in 'Local Casualties' is invaluable for pinning a man's name down to a particular individual service record as they often have service numbers or address or parent's names in the newspaper article, and it can also be matched up to a newspaper picture as well. I bet the newspaper staff of the time never envisaged how useful these simple bits of information would be to us, almost a hundred years later.I would welcome a meeting with you sometime and am sending you a private message. BradfordWW1 Posted 2 November , 2013 Share Posted 2 November , 2013 Richard, Just wondered if shipley times report s on bradford military tribunals include the names of those involved. The bradford weekly telegraph doesn't name bradford men in bradford tribunal keeping them anonymous but it does give names of men called before the shipley tribunal! Happy to swap info Kathryn
