Patrick @ IFF Posted 12 September , 2004 Share Posted 12 September , 2004 I've been informed that the 90th anniversary of the 1st gas attack in the Ypres Salient (22 April 2005) will be commemorated with official ceremonies at Steenstraete, Carrefour des Roses and the Menin Gate. Several military bands will be attending, e.g. the French Navy Band (Bagad de Lann-Bihoué). And on Monday 2 May 2005, the 90th anniversary of the poem "In Flanders Fields" by John McCrae will be commemorated by the unveiling of a new memorial tablet at Essex Farm Cemetery and a small exhibition at the In Flanders Fields Museum.
