Remembered Today:

Is this ASC cap badge and uniform?

If this is an ASC cap badge, could he wear it while dressed in another corps or regiment uniform, or did the ASC have lanyards and lapel badges?

Certainly images are available showing lanyards, collar dogs, shoulder titles, not always at the same time. Many variations.

Your photo' seems to be from a larger/group but may be family. Is the original available to give more clues?

Pretty clearly ASC to me - collar badges, cap badge outline and lanyard as detailed in #2

Thanks for the quick response! That lanyard threw me a wee bit.and your confirmation helped a heap.

The cropped image came from a family group, taken in 1918,

His name was Alexander Brymer, born Dundee 1876.

I did find a medal card, (but no other record) for someone with that name and that Corps, but was just a bit sus of the uniform.

I guess his other records were with the burnt batch.

Thanks again.
