I received a CDROM on Black Watch casualties from the CWGC yesterday and am delighted with it.

There is 4 files on it - 2 are word files which I can open easily however 2 are shown as LWP File and I dont know what they are or how to open them.

e.g. Black Watch file in word Bwrh1p, Rich Text Format, 4,724 Kb.

Other file Bwrh1p.lwp, LWP File, 1,936 Kb

Its this second that I cant open.

I have never had a LWP file from CWGC - only DOC or RTF files.

Try converting it to DOC.

Otherwise it will be down to our computer experts when they get up today!

It is a Lotus word processing file.

Look at this site. There is an explanation of how to convert a Lotus file to Word if you scroll down.

I suspect someone at CWGC forgot to convert the files from their Lotus system to the RTF format as is their usual practice. If you don't have Lotus, contact CWGC on Monday for a new disk.
