lionboxer Posted 17 May , 2013 Share Posted 17 May , 2013 A friend has got a WW1 Webley & Scott 1" flare pistol which has the following armourer's markings on the grips:- top line "2", 2nd line "LCG", 3rd line "LT", 4th line "COY". Any suggestions please? Lionboxer
wainfleet Posted 20 May , 2013 Share Posted 20 May , 2013 Is it definitely LCG? If it were 1CG, it might be 2nd Co 1st Coldstream Guards. Guards companies were numbered not lettered. (Tho' there seems no obvious reason to separate 2 and COY.)
