Edmunds (17 Sqn RFC) recounts that Marieka was: "Left by French in Monastir and found again when the town was recaptured. Presented to " C" Flight by XVI Corps Staff. Eventually shot by alarmed M.G.C. (presumably Machine Gun Corps/Crew).
