Guest SykesJ Posted 29 April , 2013 Share Posted 29 April , 2013 Found this photograph in a box. I think his cap badge identifies him as being an officer of the Warwickshire Yeomanry. I'd date this as being WWI? He also has a medal ribbon if you look closer. I have no idea who it is, none of my family know either which is unfortunate. I would like to find out who it is. Dating would be appreciated. Regards, Sykes.
Philip Wilson Posted 29 April , 2013 Share Posted 29 April , 2013 Well its definitely Warwickshire Yeomanry - its rather faint and I can't make out the medal ribbon. Much of WkY Archives are boxed and in storage consequent upon the Museum being closed for major refurbishment - it may take a while to identify him. Old Owl Posted 29 April , 2013 Share Posted 29 April , 2013 I would say that the medal ribbon is most likely to be a Queen's South Africa ribbon.
Guest SykesJ Posted 30 April , 2013 Share Posted 30 April , 2013 Why would you said the medal ribbon is likely to be a Queen's South Africa ribbon?
