SimonMoore Posted 25 April , 2013 Share Posted 25 April , 2013 Hey chaps, recently browsing the forum I found an interesting thread on pinching and slashing peaks on Guardsmen's caps, I have another question along that line about the peaks of the forage caps, I understand they have always been bound with a brass band around the rim for Foot Guards, were the other brass bands denoting rank above Lance Corporal always used on forage caps or did they appear later? Many thanks for anyone who can clear this up! Also interested in any pre-Second War photos there may be of Guardsmen wearing their forage caps.
