elbelle Posted 6 April , 2013 Share Posted 6 April , 2013 I came across this photo at a fleamarket last week. I was trying to work out what the uniform was until someone pointed out that the trousers might be what British Pows were issued. It is certainly a hotch potch of uniforms going on. What my poor scanning doesn't show is the middle guy is wearing ordinary shoes not boots and has about 3 inches of grey sock showing. I believe he may be a Cameronian Scottish Rifleman. On the back is some writing in pencil, hard to make out,
gordon92 Posted 6 April , 2013 Share Posted 6 April , 2013 Would agree that the man in the middle is Cameronians (Scottish Rifles). The cap badge displays the Mullet star, and his jacket has blackened buttons.
Admin spof Posted 7 April , 2013 Admin Share Posted 7 April , 2013 The chap on the right is wearing a wound stripe on his left forearm so that dates it after mid-1916,
