Remembered Today:

KRRC at Woburn

Woburn Paul

Recommended Posts

Just acquired this postcard view of 10 members of the Kings Royal Rifle Corp. The postcard was prodused in Woburn Bedfordshire, by C. Janes, and the wall in the background is that that surrounds the Duke of Bedfords estate there.

Any other comments re: dating or uniform deatils most welcome. I have not been able to identify anyone local in the photo, but I don't think KRRC were stationed anywhere near, so how did 10 chaps end up in the village being photographed?

From their general appearance they look well past their 'sell by date' and therefore wonder if they belong to one of the KRR Reserve Battalions??
