If any pals are in Amiens in the near future could they photograph a grave for me at the above location?

Where is this cemetary- I can't find it on CWGC- or perhaps it is not one of theirs!

Hi Guys,

The soldier (or airman) is 2nd Lieutenant EWC Perry who the CWGC describe as the first British Officer killed on active service in France in WW1. (16/08/14)

Sorry, I don't know the location of the cemetery, i'm just going on what i've found on the CWGC website. I've requested more info on the War in the Air section of the forum.

No drama if you don't make any progress - it can wait.

Could you also photograph the grave of Airman HE Parfitt - he is buried next to EWC Perry. (Graves 6 and 7)

I believe St Acheul is a French National Cemetery.

Hello

The two graves are just on the left of the portal (see map).

I hope you will enjoy those pictures.

Pilot - I was going to ask if you could take photos of the cemetery also - but you already did it!

Thank you very much for your efforts on my behalf.

Pilot - this looks to be an interesting cemetery, with Belgian graves also. I will visit next year. Thank-you once again.

As nothing more than an observer on the sidelines can I say waht a super set of pictures have been posted and how well they provide a impression of the cemetery.

Well Done Pilot

Martin, I agree - viewing them it felt as if I was walking through the cemetery.
