Remembered Today:

A Milestone for my POW Collection

Terry

Recommended Posts

Last night I arranged a trade, part of which will result in me obtaining my tenth CEF POW group. Medals to POW's are much harder to find than KIA's, and in the case of CEF soldiers, their files indicate where they were held in Germany, etc.

Group No.10 is a pair to 114132 Pte.W.R.Hulme, 1st Canadian Mounted Rifles, captured along with many of his compatriots at Mont Sorel, 2 June,1916.

Sounds like quite a collection did you happen to get the group to the Canadian Engineers and from New Brunswick. It was on the first of the year at Ebay it was one of my old groups can not remember the last name but it started with a "G". By the way I got the 25th pair to King you informed me about thanks again.

Best regards

N.S.Regt., Yes, I did get the CE pair - to Sapper Goguen from Moncton. The war diary stated that he and an officer were captured while doing a recce. Lucky for him it was near the end of the war!
