Pity we couldn't see it as AFAIK the French didn't produce any anti tank devices until 1918 when the Germans had some tanks! They did then produce some anti tank grenades.

I'd suspect possibly a 1918 anti tank grenade or possibly a 1917 demolition charge

Wondered what this was going to be seeing as what it was posted under. Perhaps the guy might have earned a wound stripe had whatever it was gone off.

Oops again, but this time it relates to my careless clicking on the sub-forum links. Which gives the mods a minor dilemma, whether to re-classify the thread and delete this post and Martin's, or let everything stand. Sorry
