Chester837 Posted 5 March , 2013 Share Posted 5 March , 2013 Even though I have been a forum member for a relatively short time, I've noticed numerous "what is this cap badge?" threads. Would it be worth having a pinned thread in this strand of the forum where those who have the knowledge and images could stick their info, a bit like the helmet plate thread, thus building up a decent repository. Not only would this assist those looking to identify a cap badge, but it would also be interesting for the rest of us to see / learn about some of the less common badges that were in service at the time and maybe those posting images / info could also give pointers to the differences between the original badges in service during the war and those from from other periods & copies (I have seen some quite grotesque Hampshire Regt badges been touted as 'genuine WW1' when they were clearly made very recently). What do you think?
QSAMIKE Posted 5 March , 2013 Share Posted 5 March , 2013 It would be a good aid but there is also the British and Commonwealth Badge Fourm which is a great reference location...... http://www.britishba...earchid=1352866
