BPJermyn Posted 4 March , 2013 Share Posted 4 March , 2013 Can anyone identify the collar and shoulder badges on this fine you man (my grandfather)? Assuming S. Saskatchewan - to which he original enlisted in before being transferred. Knowing the shoulder badges would help me put a date on this picture. Thanks - as per usual for the help. tn.drummond Posted 4 March , 2013 Share Posted 4 March , 2013 Looks like 45th or 65th 'Inf'antry Battalion to me. Tim
Staffsyeoman Posted 4 March , 2013 Share Posted 4 March , 2013 The 65th were the South Seskatchewans; their collar had a 65 on the maple leaf, which I can't quite see here, but...

BPJermyn Posted 4 March , 2013 Author Share Posted 4 March , 2013 Perfect........ That is what I thought but wanted others opinions. Confirms this would have been taken upon his enlistment in January 1916. Many thanks
