Guest deepathart Posted 4 September , 2004 Share Posted 4 September , 2004 Can miniature medals of UK WW1 be purchased. My Dad was in the AIF during WW2 and my mum has given me a miniature set as well as the full size ones. When I finally get Grandad Darringtons info I would like to get miniatures to give to Mum and Uncle of his - If we can find his MIC. John F Posted 4 September , 2004 Share Posted 4 September , 2004 yes you can, either old contemporary or new ones. The older ones tend to cost more though.

CROONAERT Posted 5 September , 2004 Share Posted 5 September , 2004 Dee. I've got a few old, contemporary WW1 minitures (several BWMs and Victories, a 1914 star(with bar), a Military Medal and a 1915 trio) that are surplus to my requirements (I don't collect minatures, but I picked them up for "framing" jobs a while ago). When you fing out what you need, let me know if you get no joy from the dealers that Ian will supply you with the details of. Dave.
