Just wondering if someone could help me out with the type of shoulder title my wife's grandfather would have worn on his uniform. He was an enlisted man with the 29th Infantry "Tobin's Tigers" Battalion. Would it have been the generic "Canada?" And, if you don't mind another question, what was it made of?

Hi Mike,

If you Google: Tobin's Tigers shoulder title. You will see an image of one sold recently on ebay.

"29th Vancouver Bat'n" over "Canada" on a single piece title. In bronzed brass.

Thank you very much, Robert. I tried googling some results, but didn't find that one.

Thanks again.

By the way, would these sort of regimental indentifiers been stolen from them if they became P.o.W.'s?

Possibly as souvenirs by their captors.
