IJDALLINGER Posted 18 February , 2013 Share Posted 18 February , 2013 I have recently noticedon a photograph of my Great Uncle that he is not wearing brass shoulder titles but cloth slides on his epaulettes. I am aware that these existed but can anyone tell me when they were introduced and especially if the East Surrey Regiment would have been issued them. I am also baffled by the fact that it appears from the photograph that a button is shown instead of a cap badge. Would this be the case in training? Any help is much appreciated.
