HI ALL,

I KNOW THIS IS A LONG SHOT AS MANY YEARS HAVE PASSED BY AND OVER THE YEARS MY GREAT GRANDFATHERS MEDALS HAVE BEEN LOST OR SOLD.

HE WAS KILLED MISSING IN ACTION IN THE BATTLE OF GINCHY ON THE 12TH SEPT 1916.

HIS NAME WAS, 7539 PRIVATE JAMES ARKWRIGHT LANCASHIRE FUSILIERS AND HE WAS ENTITLED TO THE BRITISH WAR MEDAL AND THE VICTORY MEDAL.

WHAT WILL BE THE BEST WAY OF TRACING THESE MEDALS, IF ANY COLLECTORS OR DEALERS USE THIS FORUM PLEASE COULD YOU HELP ME OUT.

ANY INFO WILL BE MUCH APPRECIATED

BEST REGARDS SHANE.

JUST A QUICK QUESTION ABOUT THE LINK ABOVE , HOW LONG DOES IT USUALLY TAKE FOR THE ADMINISTRATOR TO APROVE YOU TO THE FORUM.

APPLIED YESTERDAY BUT STILL NOT BEEN ACTIVATED.

Strangely I tried yesterday too and no response yet but more irritating was the registration which would not accept "looking for family medals" so had to choose "collector" ??
