Can anyone help with the following soldier who died on 13th August 1917 whilst serving with the 11th (Service) Battalion, The King's Liverpool Regiment.

Name: ARTHUR WOOD

Rank: PRIVATE

Service no. 11469

According to his MIC he was in action from the outset - crossing to France on 12th August 1914. Obviously, this can't have been with the 11th KLR. Does anyone have any ideas as to which battalion he served with ?

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Looking at the Long Long Trail, 1st Battalion Landed in France 13 /8/1914. As you state Arthur's MIC gives the date as 12/8/1914
