kin47 Posted 2 September , 2004 Share Posted 2 September , 2004 A partial answer.......ratings with J prefix service numbers are in the deck division, whereas M are those in the miscellaneous category....shipwrights, stewards, artisans, etc. He apparently was able to transfer to one of the speciality ratings from the deck division.
