Dar Es Salaam

A relation of my wife's was killed in Tanzania on 15/2/17 (Royal Navy) and is buried in the Dar Es Salaam War Cemetery. I was wondering if anyone has a photo of this cemetery and/or memorial?

Thanks,

Jonathan

Contact CWGC on casualtyenq@cwgc.org

They do not have a pic on their website but that does not mean that they no not have one available.

Out of interest. Was your relative RN or Royal Marines?? The Royal Marines had a detachment manning guns recovered from the HMS Pegasus with Van Deventers Column.

Thanks for the replies. He was an Able Seaman on HMS Hyacincth and according to family legend was shot dead by African German auxilliaries.
