Remembered Today:

Dorset Yeomanry ?

I've a rather poor quality postcard, though nonetheless interesting, that shows a group of Yeomanry (I suspect) in a desert setting. Horse lines appear behind them.

I suspect from the cap badge, albeit a blurr, that the unit is of the Dorset Yeomanry, probably in Palestine. The cap badge, rather like an oversized R.E, is the only design of this shape that springs to mind and I was wondering if any kind soul can marry it to the pagri flash to the left.

The reverse of the card contains an interesting message:

"The fellow in front of the officer is the one off my section who got the military medal. The three chaps on his right & the one on his left were on the same patrol with me"

Am trying to upload a full image.

Actually, looking at this again I think the puttees may be taped the wrong way for horseback (I'm woefully weak on uniforms I'm afraid)
