Recruitment and medical records

My father became 18 years in 1916 and would therefore have become eligible for service. He did not serve, I think because he was medically unfit. Does anyone know what records might exist about him and where they might be? National Archives or local records offices? He lived in Oxford.

What was his name and place of birth?.

Depending on how far he got through the process you may be lucky with a record but its a long shot.
