iain mchenry Posted 30 August , 2004 Share Posted 30 August , 2004 I have been browsing around a massive flea market today at Malvern and have seen a number of Tank Corps badges some inscribed with "Tank Corps" and others with "Fear Naught" as the modern day RTR regts wear. When did the change in inscriptions at the bottom of the badge occur? Regards Iain

CROONAERT Posted 31 August , 2004 Share Posted 31 August , 2004 Iain The Tank Corps badge changed to the Royal Tank Corps badge in 1924 (after becoming RTC in 1922 - "fear naught" added to TC badge). The RTC badge of 1924 was the same as the Royal Tank Regiment's badge (ie. with "FearNaught") , but the tank faced the oppiosite way. This changed to the present badge later the same year. Dave.
