RobL Posted 7 December , 2012 Share Posted 7 December , 2012 Currently reading about the 110 (Leicestershire) Brigade, which comprised 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th Service Battalions of the Leicestershire Regiment attack on the Somme on 25th and 26th September 1916 around Guedecourt, Does anyone know which German regiment(s) were holding the line at Goat and Gird Trench at the time? Thanks, Rob
sotonmate Posted 7 December , 2012 Share Posted 7 December , 2012 There are great maps at Kew showing such detail. For Battle of Morval the treasure is in WO153/207. There are 63 maps in the folder covering 4 and 5 Armies for the period 10 Sep to 11 Nov 1916. 21 Division were with III Corps of 4 Army.
