LOST MEDALS

It's a long shot but I got nothing to loose. I am seeking a trio for my gggreat uncle. He enlisted in the Herefordshire Regt in Rhayader as a Territorial before the outbreak of WW1. He served in Egypt whilst the rest of the Regt fought in the Gallipoli campaign. From there he moved back to UK and was moved to the KSLI. He was deployed to France where he was moved again to serve with the 11th Bn the Border Regt. He was killed on 18 Nov 1916 at the Battle of Ancre. His details:

Fred (possibly Alfred) Farmer

Pte

8254 - Herefordshire Regt

20474 - KSLI

27744 - Border Regt

According to his medal card he was awarded the following:

The Territorial Forces War Medal

The British War Medal

The Victory Medal

I would also like to locate his Memorial Plaque. I am unsure as to what service number or Regt would be inscribed on the medals. I have looked on MedalTracker and MedalFinder to no avail. I just hope The Forum can help me out.

Hi Neil

Just in case you have not found the thread - look at "Sales, Wants & Swaps" on this Forum where you will find Derek Robertson's - " My NEW Death plaque site for your WANTS and SALES".

Regards

Myrtle
