Guest Simon Bull Posted 8 April , 2003 Share Posted 8 April , 2003 Quite rightly, there has been a good deal of discussion about the number of surviving British/Commonwealth veterans in the last few months, particularly today given the meeting of veterans at the PRO. However, does anyone know how many German or Russian veterans survive? I have in mind that both these countries (I would assume) probably put rather more men in the field than Britain did and that there may well be more surviving veterans in these countries. Interesting to think that these men (particularly the Russians) will have seen even more change in the period since they served than the British veterans. Just a thought.
