Guest Ian Bowbrick Posted 26 August , 2004 Share Posted 26 August , 2004 My grandfather appears to have been stationed at Narborough in early 1918. One of the photographs in his album is of a crashed two seater and written on the back is: 'DH?? (looks like 4) Lts Shaw and Law both killed 13 Feb 1918 Narboro'. I have been able to track Law down as being 2/Lt Charles Arthur Law who was killed on 13 February 1918, which tallies with what is written on the back, but as for Lt Shaw, there appears to be no record?? Has anyone come across this incident or have a record of a Lt Shaw being killed on this date. Ian
Dolphin Posted 26 August , 2004 Share Posted 26 August , 2004 Ian 2Lt John Fyffe Shaw died on 19 February 1918 from injuries sustained when he crashed in DH4 B2121 of No 26 Training Squadron, piloted by 2Lt C A Law, on 13 February. 2Lt Shaw was only 18. I hope this helps. Gareth
