paul_adam Posted 10 November , 2012 Share Posted 10 November , 2012 Hi, I'm researching Major Walter Turner Monckton who served firstly with the 3/4th Royal West Kent Regt, transferring to the 9th West Riding for two months in 1918, before being appointed an 'Education Officer' with 17th Division HQ during June 1918. Does anyone know what duties fell to an Education Officer? Was it related to assisting the newly arrived Americans to gain experience? I read in the History of the 17th (Northern) Division that a party of Americans was attached during May 1918. Any insight appreciated. Many Thanks, Paul
