accypal11 Posted 8 November , 2012 Share Posted 8 November , 2012 Can anyone out there help me? I am catalogueing photographs for The Fusilier Museum in Bury and have come across a couple of phoptographs like this one. I am unsure as to what the armband is and what it may signify, any ideas? Chief_Chum Posted 8 November , 2012 Share Posted 8 November , 2012 Cracking photograph. Depending on the colour it could indicate a Runner or a Sniper. A blue one would indicate a Signaller but it would usually have the brass Signallers badge pinned through the middle of it.

Great photograph. Here are examples of some of the coloured cuff-bands used during WW1. Regards, LF
