Can anyone out there help me?

I am catalogueing photographs for The Fusilier Museum in Bury and have come across a couple of phoptographs like this one. I am unsure as to what the armband is and what it may signify, any ideas?

Cracking photograph.

Depending on the colour it could indicate a Runner or a Sniper. A blue one would indicate a Signaller but it would usually have the brass Signallers badge pinned through the middle of it.

Great photo. Don't suppose you have any 9th or 1/5th Bn you could post?

Great photograph.

Here are examples of some of the coloured cuff-bands used during WW1.
