Max Poilu Posted 23 August , 2004 Share Posted 23 August , 2004 Tom, I can thoroughly recomend Aftermath as one of my favourite books. It has a large and fascinating section on the Great War but also covers Stalingrad, the nuclear test areas at Nevada and the battlefields of Vietnam and Kuwait. The book is worth it for the WW1 section alone but the statistics and background info on the other theatres is just as incredible. Incidentally there was a superb documentary made on the subject of the book under the same name, one to look out for as it covered much of the work of the French demineurs.
