horatio2 Posted 7 October , 2012 Share Posted 7 October , 2012 Hawke Bn were in billets at Sebourquiaux, close to the Belgian border on 6 Nov. "7 Nov:- 0030 - Battalion moved forward and relieved LONDON SCOTTISH in ANGRE [just over the border in Belgium], which relief was completed by 0500 hrs. 0900 - Battalion advanced to the attack. 1045 - AUDREGNIES captured with slight casualties and Battalion became Support Battalion to the 189th Brigade. 2200 - Battalion ordered forward to get into assembly positions on the railway embankment east of AUDREGNIES." On 8 Nov the Hawkes took the village of WIHERIES. Four Hawkes were killed in the action on 7 November. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
