david west Posted 7 October , 2012 Share Posted 7 October , 2012 I was wondering if there exists any lists of the soldiers that were wounded in action. I know that my Grandfather CSM E.A West formerly 9067 from the 2nd Devons & 17551 from the Machine Gun Corps was wounded at least 3 times. Also another person i am researching Pte 1914 F.H Bailey from the 24th Field Ambulance was wounded twice. Was there a central WIA list, or would they have been published in the local newspaper. Regards to all the experts. David
ss002d6252 Posted 7 October , 2012 Share Posted 7 October , 2012 There is no readily available complied list of casualties. Your best bet is a local newspaper although some lists did appear in the national papers for parts of the war. I've had a look in the Times and but can't see anything obvious.
