andyspiller Posted 22 August , 2004 Share Posted 22 August , 2004 Pals Firstly apologies for being offline for some time but my father passed away and things have not been that easy. Anyway amongst his things was a cap badge. Inscribed with Rifle Brigade in the middle and the usual horn and then just South Africa top and bottom of the cross and 1899 1902 on the left and right of it. Can anyone please help? PhilB Posted 22 August , 2004 Share Posted 22 August , 2004 Just a point, Tom. We were issued with King`s Crown REME badges in 1955. The Queen`s Crown was issued shortly after. I assume that, at the end of one reign, the badges would carry on being issued until stocks ran out. Phil B
museumtom Posted 22 August , 2004 Share Posted 22 August , 2004 I do know the difference between the kings and queens crown though. The information about the badge is from a book called Military Collectables. Tom.
