Timbob1001 Posted 5 October , 2012 Share Posted 5 October , 2012 Hi all I have a reference fromt he CWGC to a Driver Arthur FEAR dying from malaria while serving in the HQ of 1st Infantry Brigade See: http://www.cwgc.org/find-war-dead/casualty/624689/FEAR,%20A To date I have had no success in tracking down the unit and what it was up to between from the spring to August 1917. Can anyone help? Thanks Tim
Steven Broomfield Posted 5 October , 2012 Share Posted 5 October , 2012 I think you'll find it was 1st Brigade, Royal Field Artillery, who were (according to The Long, Long Trail) with the 27th Division. 1st Infantry Brigade was with the 1st Infantry Division, and spent the whole war on the Western Front. Timbob1001 Posted 5 October , 2012 Author Share Posted 5 October , 2012 It would certainly make sense! Yet another CWGC error... ATB Tim
