Market hill Woman Edwards Aileen VAD From Armagh Gazette 11 12 1915 Miss Aileen Edwards daughter of Mr W.H. Edwards,The Agency Markethill is now a cook at Brighton serving as an assistant cook in the 2nd Eastern General hospital. Miss Edwards is one of the most highly qualified members of Markethill V.A.D. having obtained both the Ulster Medal and the St John Medallion as well as an invalid cookery certificate but was unfortunately too young to be accepted as a nurse by the War Office.
