pylon1357 Posted 1 October , 2012 Share Posted 1 October , 2012 Interesting read, but seems to me, the artical was more about the retreating glaciers than of the soldiers recovered. It would be nice if there was a follow up report on these fallen soldiers.
ildebrando74 Posted 6 October , 2012 Share Posted 6 October , 2012 Dear West Front's friends. In the last years warm summers had melted some part of glaciers where almost one century ago fierce and hard battle were fought. I have visited large part of western front and I suggest almost once in your life to visit italian mountain front. That front is so moving... I moved so much this year under Menin Gate, Langemarck, Hooge Crater, and past years in Cote 304, Mort Homme, Les Eparges, Pozieres, Beaumont Hamel...and many other site in my hearth. An experience in a not touristic place, in wonderful lonelyness and magnificent landscapes in Italy will fullfill your hearth. But... this is my contribute to the newest findigns in Italian front. The mens were found really, really close to the sky area... http://www.ladige.it/gallerie/ritrovamento-salme-
