SteveMarsdin Posted 21 September , 2012 Share Posted 21 September , 2012 Just to make you aware, I've just noticed that York Castle Museum are running a series of events this month on 1914: http://www.yorkcastlemuseum.org.uk/Page/AdultLearning.aspx Unfortunately some have passed and most are mid-week but there's an interesting array of subjects. If you do decide to visit, the excellent regimental museums of the Prince of Wales Own Regiment of Yorkshire (also covering East and West Yorkshire Regiments) and Royal Dragoon Guards are just a few hundred metres away at the other side of Clifford's Tower. Royal Dragoon Guards 4th (Royal irish) Dragoon Guards, 5th (Princess Charoltte of Wales's) Dragoon Guards, 7th (Princess Royal's) Dragoon Guards, 6th Dragoons (Inniskillings); then 4th/7th Royal Dragoon Guards and 5th Royal Inniskilling Dragoon Guards.
