Just been handed a couple of photographs from a family in Hull.

Couple of smashing studies, one of a very young lad from the area.

What unit are the regimental cap badges from?

Thats a bit better.

The JPEG in properties 'General' settings, changed format to a bitmap opened with Internet Explorer.

Sussed-ish!

Cheers,

Dick W

I thought RGA or RA until a closer look......and can just about make out L.F.

What about the other one?

Just noticed the 'baubles' on the shoulders of the LF boy.......Are they a part of his uniform or a part of the seat in the studio?

Thats what I said....the person, who shall remain nameless, and thought they were some type of rank distinction.

Just thought Id check before making an uninformed statement :hypocrite:

Dick :hypocrite: HONEST!

The one wearing the GS capbadge is more than likely 'Labour Corps', as opposed to Volunteer Force, which also wore the same capbadge, but you rarely see young lads in the Volunteers wearing it or the lanyard, which I suspect has the clasp knife attached.

Like the other respondees I thinks this one is Lancashire Fusiliers and the other one General Service Corps.

No, not Manchesters. Agree with the flow... GS badge indicating Labour Corps and Lancashire Fusiliers. And yes, the 'baubles' are the knobs from the back of the chair.
