Belfast Man In The Canadian Army

Can anyone help me with this as my ancestry acess is UK and Ireland only, friend of mines great great uncle who was from 9th Street Shankill Road Belfast who is buried in Hinge Military Cemetery and was in the 13th Batt Canadian Infantry his name was Edmund Rainey army number 24524, they have just discovered this and are very puzzled as to the Canadian link

Steven, have a few snippets from newspaper + photo will email you later incase you haven't seen them.

Very interesting, according to obit seems he was married to a Maggie sometime between 1901-11 who died and had two children, baffled me for a bit last night, with

not married on attestion papers and just Mother & Father on CWGC another two children lost both parents (very sad).
