Hi everyone,

i have recently taken a bit of an interest in bayonets since i received my grandad's bayonet which he was issued in ww2

i think its a 1903 bayonet but i was hoping that i could have some help finding out a bit more about it from its markings, any help would be much appreciated.

thanks :)

I see the code for the attachments but I see no images. Is it just me?

Looks as if it was in Indian service. The brown leather scabbard with brass mounts is typical of Indian manufacture. The letters stamped on the pommel appear to be R F I - Rifle Factory, Ishapore. Plus the Crown and Pattern date appear to be overstamped, indicating a conversion from a P.1888. - SW
