Remembered Today:

Warrington Soldiers

Recommended Posts

I've started to do some research on the men recorded on the memorial at Our Lady of The Assumption RC Church, Latchford, Warrington, I am having trouble tracing the following on CWGC. Some of them have no hits and some have too many. Perhaps some Pals with time on their hands could look on SDGW to see if they can help me, perhaps by finding those men who were born or enlisted in Warrington.

I’m sure I’ll have some more, but here’s 5 for starters.

Grateful for any help which can be offered.

Dear Stephen,

Try these for starters,

Laurence Knight 7th South Lancs 31840 DOW 29/01/18 enlisted Warrington

James Brady Loyal North Lancs 40165 KIA 23/07/18 born + enlisted Warrington

formerly 940 South Lancs

Thomas Peacock Gloucestershire Rgt 37563 KIA 28/06/18 born Manchester enlisted Warrington formerly 4389 South Lancs

These are most likely will look at others later

All the best

Paul

I'd be interested in any information on servicemen from the Padgate area of Warrington.

Thanks

Thanks for that. I'll pick these three up and see what else I can find. Grateful for your efforts.

Does anyone know of soldiers who served and / or died in the Woolston area?

Thanks
