Hi I have restrike cap badge to above and it is all silver coloured with no brass bits! Is this a faulty restrike or could it be correct?

Hi Kirky,

You really need to post a good sharp image of your badge--to enable anyone to make a comment on your 'restrike'. It is just possible that the badge is either chrome or silver plated.

Hi Kirky,

I cannot say if your badge is a copy for certain--perhaps a photo of the back may help?

I have found however that this badge was worn all in white metal after the Second World War by Warrant Officers and Sergeants.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for that, it is not so important if it is a restrike more a question of is it right for WW1 being all white metal. I got in believing it was WW1 .

It is not WW1. WW1 badges would be bi-metal or all brass.

While pre1915 TF bns often had w/m badges in the Middlesex's case they had a South Africa honour scroll (10th bn was blank) and not the Albuhera title so it is not pre war TF either.
